Mumbai-based startup Enlite has raised Rs 46 cr (~ $5 million) in a Series A funding round led by Avaana Capital, with participation from Claypond Capital.
Founded in 2017 by Gaurav Bali and Garima Bharadwaj, Enlite has developed a tech-enabled wireless Know Your Building, building management system (BMS) that helps businesses reduce their carbon footprint and optimise resource utilisation to meet sustainability goals.
Enlite leverages technologies like IoT and AI to enable building automation to manage and control systems such as cooling, heating, lighting, elevators, fire safety, etc.
Real estate developers, airports, co-working spaces, data centre providers, hospital chains, and public infrastructure projects use Enlite building automation solution. Enlite’s clients include real estate developer Prestige Group, co-working space provider Simpliwork, Fairmont hotel in Mumbai, etc.
The cloud-native BMS dashboard provides insights for building managers to make real-time decisions, reduce a building’s carbon footprint by optimising energy use, and support sustainable operations.
Building managers can use the dashboard to quickly identify and address abnormal consumption patterns, track progress toward reduction targets, and generate reports for sustainability compliance.
BMS can automatically adjust cooling, heating, lighting, and other systems based on occupancy, time of day, and weather conditions. This real-time responsiveness reduces unnecessary energy use and eliminates waste, directly lowering carbon emissions.
These solutions often deliver substantial long-term savings by lowering utility bills and reducing maintenance costs through predictive maintenance and optimised asset usage.
Enlite solution also supports the integration of on-site renewables like solar panels or wind turbines, ensuring their seamless operation alongside conventional energy sources.
The company plans to use the funding to expand across India and internationally in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
