Electric Mobility Startup EVeez Raises $5.4 million in Series A Funding

Electric mobility startup EVeez has raised $5.4 million (~Rs 46 crores) in Series A funding led by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, with participation from Caret Capital, ThinKuvate, Ev2 Ventures, The Barbershop with Shantanu, SailThru Ventures, and ah! Ventures Fund. Ev2 Ventures and ah! Ventures Fund has invested in the EVeez seed round as well.

Founded in 2020 by Gaurav Rathore and Abhishek Dwivedi, EVeez provides electric vehicles and two-wheelers on a subscription basis for urban commute and delivery services.

Gurgaon-based EVeez enables people to access electric two-wheelers without the upfront burden of vehicle ownership. This is especially useful for individuals from low-income backgrounds who work on delivery platforms in quick commerce, food delivery, e-commerce, and ride-hailing segments.

Many delivery companies encourage their delivery agents to switch to electric two-wheelers through financial assistance due to lower maintenance and operational costs. Their agents delivering goods on electric vehicles also address sustainability concerns and present a positive image to end consumers.

These companies use in-built telematics in EVs to collect data on vehicle performance, which can be analysed to optimise fleet operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Furthermore, companies can monitor agents’ driving patterns, such as overspeeding, to ensure safe driving practices.

Delivery agents from India’s major e-commerce and food delivery platforms, such as Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto, and Amazon, use EVeez electric scooters.

The company is present in more than a dozen Indian cities, and with this funding, it plans to expand to 30 cities with 50,000+ EVs by March 2027.
